Machine Operators operate, set up, program, maintain, and troubleshoot presses, mills, and auto-forming machines in a fast-paced environment. Fisher Barton values our 3C's Culture, working every day to execute Customer Excellence, A Culture of Fairness, and Community Involvement.You will:Adhere to Fisher Barton Safety and Quality procedures and regulations and business code of ethicsLift and load partsInsert blanks manually into press and perform either hot or cold form operationsMeasure partsKeep an accurate record of the quantity milled and formedInspect finished parts for Quality and CompliancePackage customer partsPerform general maintenance and housekeeping of working areasSet up for all equipment in required time, per the control plan specificationsVerify dimensions, type and characteristics of Raw MaterialsLoad Coil, Strip or BlanksSet tension on Slack LoopAdjust and operate forming press/straightener to produce parts in accordance with specificationsSet up milling machinePerform manual mill operationsReplace milling headsRemove and isolate Scrapped/Non-Conforming PartsPerform operator maintenance (changeout lubricants) and housekeeping of working areasTrain Level 1 team membersThe above statements are intended only to describe the general nature of the job and should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of position responsibilities.
