In this role, you will oversee the development of analytics solutions, data models, and data architecture that enable informed decision making and support key business initiatives across the organization.This position is ideal for a strategic leader who can translate complex business needs into actionable data solutions while developing talent and driving performance. You will help usher in the use of AI to enhance regulatory reporting and analytics, shaping how data is leveraged by ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation while building strong partnerships and fostering a high‑performing, collaborative team environment.Key Responsibilities Of The RoleOversees a team of Data Analysts responsible for assisting the enterprise Information Technology organization with construction of data warehouses by building and delivering data models and data mining applications for business units. Analyze and validate financial data; identify trends, discrepancies, and anomaliesLead the preparation and submission of regulatory reports accurately and on timeEstablishes operational objectives, policies, procedures, and work plans and delegates assignments to the team(s)Manage the data analysis and design of analytics products across a focused area of the Central Insurance business value stream to enable data driven business decisions that will drive performance and lead to the accomplishment of annual goals Translate complex business requirements into data requirements and work with internal customers to define data requirement details based on expressed partner needsLead structured, end-to-end analysis to inform product strategy, data architecture, and reporting decisionsAnalyze existing datasets and interfaces to understand and document current state data architecturesDesign future state data architectures by applying data requirements, data profiles and business rules to current state architectures in alignment with best practices and standardsDrive data architecture that enforces consistency across the data landscape with an emphasis on single sources of truthPerform extensive data profiling to understand data behavior and business rulesThoroughly document data architecture solutions, business requirements, training material and business processes for both business and technical audiencesDrive adoption of and socialize data products with end users through user trainingLeverage frameworks for repeatable validation of data integrity within data products supporting accurate and consistent reporting and analyticsSupport standard methodologies in data analysis: data integrity, unit testing, data quality control, system integration testing, modeling, validation, and documentationAdequately staff the Data Analytics team while adhering to the analytics budgetLead and develop others by building skills through coaching, mentoring, and ongoing training & developmentFoster strong and meaningful relationships within the team, across the organization, and with corporate partnersMeet with stakeholders to understand needs and provide insights that help meet profit, growth, and expense goalsRequired QualificationsMasters’ degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years related experienceOr Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 4 years related experience Or 6 years related experience Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesExperience analyzing large structured and unstructured datasets Experience defining data architectures to support data visualization toolsExperience defining data architectures to support semantic data layersExperience with cloud environmentsExperience with Big Data technologiesUnderstanding of leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolutionProject management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuringStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skillsStrong multi-tasking and prioritization skillsProven ability to deliver on commitments Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment Business process acumen and ability to map processes to data models and architectures Demonstrated ability to develop structured analysis that support data architecture designSolid understanding of various database management systemsWorking understanding of Agile methodologies and principlesAbility to understand Central Insurance’s policies and processesTotal RewardsCentral establishes base pay based on several factors including labor market data and an evaluation of candidate qualifications relative to role requirements.
