Apply today!info.flclearinghouse.comResponsibilities:The Environmental Services Associate-Maintenance is responsible to assist in the general operational maintenance, repair, and housekeeping of the Community's physical plant. The Environmental Services Associate-Maintenance is also responsible to communicate and help coordinate the necessary tasks to accomplish repairs and alterations to buildings and equipment systems.Helps to perform general maintenance work (light, electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.)Demonstrates excellent mechanical skillsUnderstands HVAC and may be asked to operate and/or maintain equipmentReplenishes and maintains supply levels in work areasAssures all tools, work areas, and equipment are clean, in proper working order, and properly storedHelps to assure that the Community environment and all equipment are properly maintained for resident comfort and convenienceConsistently and routinely maintains and repairs assigned equipment and reports any hazardous conditionsRoutinely replaces light bulbs, exit lights, room call lights, etc., where neededConducts daily inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to determine necessary maintenance and repairs, if requested to do soHelps to assure that other team members follow established safety practices (OSHA)Responsible for maintaining the general appearance of the building including, but not limited to, assisting and cleaning up after events and general clean up during scheduled shift, and arranging furniture on an ongoing basisHelps to maintain a preventative maintenance log on all mechanical systemsEstablishes and manages a preventative maintenance scheduleMaintains an effective work-order system procedureParticipates in in-service trainingMaintains confidentiality of all pertinent Resident care informationResponsible for weekly submission of invoices and spend-down report to Environmental Services DirectorPerforms other duties as requiredMaintains a clean and orderly laundry room and stores chemicals in accordance with product and Environmental Services Director instructionsHelps to ensure that all safety rules and regulations are followed at all timesFollows and promotes all safety policies and procedures when performing maintenance servicePerforms Resident Emergency Call System checks in Resident units when requestedReports on-the-job injuries to the Environmental Services Director before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occursCommunicates effectively with Environmental Services Director and other team membersQualifications:Must possess a High School DiplomaMust be knowledgeable as to maintenance and housekeeping policies and procedures, as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing maintenance functions in the CommunityUnderstands the practices surrounding proper handling of biohazardous wasteDemonstrates competency in the performance of duties and responsibilities through the utilization of sound judgment and the reporting of unusual problems/conditions to the Environmental Services DirectorMust possess a valid Driver's License, preferably a Commercial Driver's LicenseAble to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memosAble to effectively write simple correspondenceBasic familiarity with computersAble to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other team membersPhysically able to bend and reachPhysically able to push and pull and lift up to 60 pounds if necessaryPhysically able to stand for extended periods of time
