Job Description JOB SUMMARY AND ACCOUNTABILITIESFind out if this opportunity is a good fit by reading all of the information that follows below.Sets-up and operates machine tools such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, grinders, and lapping and polishing machines, to machine parts to specifications. Builds parts from blueprints supplied by others. Develops specifications from general descriptions and draws sketches of parts to be fabricated.Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate manual and CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.)Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsMeasure and inspect finished products for quality assurancePerform routine machine maintenance and troubleshootingCollaborate with team to continuously improve manufacturing processesOther duties as assignedRequirements:High School Diploma or GED; Associates degree in a field related to machine tool technologies preferred5+ years' experience as a machinist, or 2+ years’ experience as a machinist and a current certification in machining technologiesProficiency in reading technical drawings and using precision measuring toolsKnowledge of machining processes, metal properties, and cutting toolsExperience with CNC programming and operationForklift certification (or willingness to obtain)Strong problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamOur work environment is:Safe and cleanUtilizes large manufacturing equipment and forkliftsClimate control temperatures and most work is conducted insideWe offer competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for advancement.
