Youth Learning Assistant - Hampden South

At Soar Autism Center, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of young children on the autism spectrum. As we continue to innovate and build a better model of care for kids, the role of the Youth Learning Assistant (also called a Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician) plays a key part in helping children learn and grow every day.Our approach draws from the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a fun, play-based form of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. By joining our team, you'll use play, creativity, and compassion to support children's developmental progress and help them reach their full potential.Key Responsibilities:Provide one-on-one play-based learning sessions to children aged 2-6 in our clinic settingImplement individualized therapy plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) using evidence-based principles from ABAUse play, positive reinforcement, and daily routines to help children build communication, social, and learning skillsPartner closely with families, sharing updates and celebrating each child's growthParticipate in ongoing training and supervision to earn and maintain RBT certificationQualifications:High school diploma, or equivalent, is required. Strong preference for candidates enrolled in or who have completed a degree program (bonus for majors in Child Development, Psychology, Education, or related fields)Enjoyment and experience working with children. This can be through child care, teaching, coaching, or volunteer workAbility to achieve and maintain RBT certification within the first 6 weeks of employment (Soar provides paid training)RBT certification required for our Colorado Springs locationReliable transportation to training and center locations; punctuality is essentialPhysical ability to sit or kneel on the floor, lift up to 50 lbs., and move quickly to support a child's needsComfort using computers and tablets for session documentationTeam-oriented mindset and willingness to learn and growWhat We Offer:$21.50 - $28.50/hour with regular bonus and promotion opportunities. The initial offer hourly pay will be between $21.50 - $22.75.
