Job Description Hardware Logistics & Inventory CoordinatorPrimary Location: Sunnyvale, CA (with occasional travel to San Francisco)Pay Rate: $20.61/hour Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and hands-on Hardware Logistics & Inventory Coordinator to support our Sunnyvale AV R&D garage operations. In this role, you will serve as the operational backbone of our facility—managing secure inventory, enforcing strict check-in/check-out protocols, and enabling engineers to focus on innovation and testing. You will act as the trusted gatekeeper of high-value hardware assets while bridging logistics between our Sunnyvale engineering team and our San Francisco (MB5) warehouse. Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Management & SecurityOwn and manage the secure inventory "cage" in Sunnyvale, ensuring all LiDAR, Radar, and Compute hardware is organized, properly stored, and accurately tracked.Maintain precise inventory records using systems such as FleetIO and barcode scanning tools.Enforce strict security and traceability protocols for all high-value components.Engineering Support & StagingManage the check-in/check-out process of components for engineering teams, ensuring full accountability.Support Reliability teams with staging sensor test benches and preparing vehicles for Root Cause Analysis (RCA).Hands-On Garage SupportPerform basic physical and technical tasks to support engineering workflows, including cable routing, SSD swaps, and assisting with cosmetic vehicle teardowns.Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient garage environment.Cross-Site CoordinationCoordinate closely with the San Francisco (MB5) warehouse to manage inventory transfers and returns (RMAs).Serve as a physical courier when needed, transporting critical parts between locations to avoid engineering delays. Ideal Candidate ProfileExperience: 2+ years in inventory control, automotive parts management, or R&D garage/technician roles.Organization & Accountability: Highly detail-oriented with the confidence to enforce inventory protocols while collaborating effectively with engineers.Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using inventory systems (FleetIO, ERP platforms) and barcode scanners.Mobility: Valid driver's license required; willingness to travel occasionally between Sunnyvale and San Francisco.Physical Capability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and use basic hand tools; forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus.
