Data Analyst

Overview In this Data Analyst role, you will transform diverse data sources into actionable insights to improve data quality and support energy management and related integrations. You will work with IT, product, and operations teams to document data flows, define requirements, and ensure sustained platform usage. You will design data mappings, create test cases, and contribute to DevOps prioritization and QA testing. This position emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, rigorous data analysis, and clear technical documentation to drive data-driven decisions. You will join a collaborative team focused on delivering reliable data solutions and impactful insights for energy and business processes. ResponsibilitiesAnalyze customer data and create hierarchical structures for Organizations, Facilities, Accounts, and metersPropose changes to existing data hierarchies to improve data qualityCreate design documents for development teams on new or existing customer integrationsUpdate DevOps tasks and help prioritize sprint workDevelop test cases and validate data in QA environmentSupport Energy Cap, BSNY, and other data integrationsCollect and document detailed data requirements and data flowsIdentify data attributes, document source-to-target mappings, and data processesInvestigate data from multiple sources for completeness, accuracy, patterns, and trendsIdentify data issues and assist in remediation effortsCreate documentation to enable replication of the analysis Key requirementsWorking knowledge of SQL, writing SQL queriesProficiency in MS ExcelExperience analyzing trends in complex data setsExperience creating and maintaining technical documentationExperience assessing data quality and coordinating data correctionsExperience authenticating and interpreting data using statistical analysis or data miningExcellent communication skillsAbility to work independently and in cross-functional teamsExperience implementing Energy Management solutions (Preferred)strong communicationcollaborationindependenceSQLMS Exceldata analysis and interpretation
