SAP Business Analyst - Proc/IBP

Job Description : Our client is looking for a SAP Business Analyst – Proc/IBP for their Ann Arbor, MI location. This role will sit hybrid 3 days a week.*Open to candidates who are willing to relocate to Chicago, IL.The IT SAP Functional MM Procurement & IBP plays a key role in supporting the implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAP solutions that meet business requirements.The IT SAP Functional MM Procurement & IBP will work closely with business users and technical teams translate functional needs into effective SAP system solutions and ensure smooth system operations.Key Responsibilities: SAP MM – Procurement:Analyze business requirements and design procurement solutions in SAP MMConfigure and support:Purchasing organization, groups, and document typesPurchase requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, and scheduling agreementsRelease strategies and approval workflowsSource determination, pricing, and vendor evaluationManage vendor master data and material master integrationIntegrate MM with FI (invoice verification), WM/EWM, and PPSupport inventory management and MRP-related procurement processesPrepare functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP teamsProvide production support and issue resolutionSAP IBP Design and implement SAP IBP solutions, including:IBP for DemandIBP for SupplyIBP for Inventory OptimizationIBP S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning)Configure planning areas, key figures, planning operators, and alertsIntegrate SAP IBP with S/4HANA or ECC using CPI-DSSupport demand forecasting, supply planning, and scenario simulationsLead data integration, master data alignment, and validationSupport planning cycles, UAT, and go-live activitiesImplementation & Support Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP functional specificationsConfigure SAP modules according to business processes and best practicesSupport SAP implementations, enhancements, and rolloutsWork with technical teams (ABAP, Basis, Integration) to deliver functional solutionsPrepare and maintain functional documentation, including process flows and configuration guidesParticipating in testing activities (unit testing, integration testing, UAT)Identify and resolve functional issues and provide ongoing application supportAssist in user training, change management, and knowledge transferEnsure solutions comply with internal controls and system standardsSupport continuous improvement initiatives and system optimizationRequired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Supply Chain, Business, or related field6+ years of SAP experience with a strong focus on MM Procurement and SAP IBPHands-on experience in SAP MM procurement configurationStrong functional knowledge of procurement-to-pay (P2P) processesExperience with SAP IBP modules and planning conceptsKnowledge of integration between SAP IBP and S/4HANA/ECCGood understanding of master data dependencies and data qualityStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesPreferred Qualifications: SAP MM and/or SAP IBP certificationExperience with S/4HANA MMKnowledge of CPI-DS, integration flows, and data modelsExperience in global rollout or transformation projectsExposure to Ariba or SRMExperience in SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projectsExposure to SAP Fiori, reports, and interfacesExperience in global or multi-company SAP environmentsIndustry experience: Automotive Supplier and/or Automotive ManufacturingKey Competencies: Good communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong documentation and organizational skillsCustomer- and solution-oriented mindsetWork Environment: In the Ann Arbor office or other company facilities.May require travel between facilities, sister companies, suppliers, and customers.On-call support may be required during critical periods.Salary/Rate: $120,000 (depends on experience level).Benefits: Medical, PTO, 401(k), and more.About The CompanyPeterson Technology Partners (PTP) is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating a transparent, inclusive, and human-centered hiring experience.For more than 28 years, PTP has operated as one of the top IT staffing and recruiting firms in the USA—built on trust, long-term partnerships, and technical excellence.Based in the Chicago suburb of Park Ridge, IL, our team of more than 500 employees and consultants is dedicated to:Helping every client make the best hiring decisions possibleMatching professionals with the right IT jobs and career opportunitiesAs part of that commitment, we believe in providing clear information about how our hiring technologies work and how your data is used.
