Baer is looking for an SAPS4 HANA Costing Expert for a 9+ month project located in St. Paul, MN.Title: SAP S4 HANA Costing ExpertLocation: Hybrid - 25% Travel to St. Paul, MNDuration: 9 monthsRate: Hourly Plus Expenses ReimbursedAlignment: C2CDescriptionProvide deep subject matter expertise in SAP Material Ledger and Product Costing within the S/4 HANA environment. Lead the design and implementation of costing solutions that align with business requirements and best practices. Ensure accurate and consistent costing processes across all relevant finance operations. Collaborate with the Finance team during Wave 2 of the global design phase, contributing to the development of a cohesive and comprehensive finance solution. Participate in the realization phase, ensuring that all costing-related components are configured and tested according to specifications. Support the execution of test plans, including functional, integration, and user acceptance testing, to validate costing solutions. Assist in the writing of functional specifications for costing-related processes and configurations. Develop detailed documentation to support the implementation, including process flows, configuration guides, and user manuals. Ensure all documentation is maintained and updated throughout the project lifecycle. Provide expert-level support for the resolution of issues related to Material Ledger and Product Costing during testing and go-live. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions. Ensure timely resolution of issues to minimize project risks and delays. Support the Finance team during the go-live phase, ensuring a smooth transition to the new S/4 HANA environment. Provide post-go-live support to address any outstanding issues or enhancements related to costing processes. RequirementsExtensive experience with SAP S/4 HANA Finance, with a focus on Material Ledger and Product Costing. Proven track record of leading costing implementations in large-scale, global SAP projects. Strong experience in writing functional specifications for SAP finance processes. Hands-on experience in supporting and executing testing phases, including functional, integration, and user acceptance testing. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues related to Material Ledger and Product Costing in an S/4 HANA environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering effective solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience collaborating with global teams and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
