Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Keyser, WV Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,164 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 6/8/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Dysrhythmia reading experience Description: The unit consists of a 21 bed medical surgical department. The average census is 15-16 patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:5. Efforts are made to maintain this ratio, although it may occasionally increase to 1:6. Required certifications include BLS, NIHSS, and ACLS. Common diagnoses and types of patients include CHF, COPD, DM, HTN, post-operative orthopedic cases, and laparoscopic cholecystectomies. RNs are not required to titrate drips. Telemetry is frequently monitored, and nurses are responsible for reading their own telemetry strips. Patient Care Technicians are available to assist, typically maintaining a 1:5 ratio. Block scheduling is allowed as possible. Weekend and holiday requirements are as needed. There is no call or standby requirement. Nurses can wear scrubs in any color. Training includes an introduction to EPIC if needed.
