Job SummaryPosition Distribution CoordinatorSchedule 1st Shift - Monday - Thursday - 800 AM - 530 PM , Friday 8 AM - 12 PMBase Rate $21.50/HourThe Distribution Coordinator performs a variety of clerical duties to support departmental operations within the distribution center. Responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveryEssential Job Functions *Communicates with carriers to schedule inbound and outbound deliveries.Tracks outbound shipments to ensure proper delivery; follows up to resolve issuesEnsures orders are waved according to established prioritiesCommunicates with customer service and branch distribution staff to ensure the timely shipment of orders from multiple areasEnsure roll-out/script orders ship according to scheduleExpedites the shipment of priority orders and enters shipment data into customer TMS systemFiles a variety of shipping documents and places orders for warehouse suppliesTrain and provide back-up for wave planning, as needed This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Some college courses preferred.Competencies – Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesExperience and knowledge of shipping procedures, including bills of lading.Basic computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, and Windows. Able to learn and use automated traffic software (TMS) and in-house applications.Good organization skills and attention to detail.Good interpersonal and communication and skills. Able to work accurately from both written and verbal instructions.Able to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.Microsoft Office Proficiency – Advanced skills in creating templates, using conditional formatting, building documents, and generating graphs and pivot tables(especially in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Communication Skills – Strong verbal and written communication, including professional email and phone etiquette, in-person interactions, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Time Management & Organization – Excellent ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain organized workflows in a fast-paced environment.Work Environment and Physical DemandsWork EnvironmentOffice Office setting.
