Upper Elementary ICT Teacher Location: Brooklyn, NY Job Type: Full-Time Salary Range: $60,000–$90,000 Application Deadline: Until Filled Start Date: October 2025 About the Role: This innovative and progressive charter school in Brooklyn is seeking a passionate and dedicated Upper Elementary ICT (Information & Communication Technology) Teacher for the 2025 school year. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, adaptability, and a student-centered approach to the classroom, helping upper elementary students build confidence in using technology as a tool for learning, problem-solving, and self-expression. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement engaging ICT lessons that integrate seamlessly with core subject areas and align with state standards. Use a variety of instructional strategies, including project-based learning, coding activities, digital media creation, and technology-based problem solving. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners and provide equitable access to digital tools. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, and responsible digital citizenship. Regularly assess student progress and provide feedback to guide growth in both technical and critical-thinking skills. Communicate with parents and guardians about student progress and strategies for success. Collaborate with classroom teachers to support cross-curricular technology integration and interdisciplinary projects. Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement and technology initiatives. Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, Instructional Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Experience: Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the elementary or upper elementary level. Skills: Strong knowledge of instructional technology, computer applications, and coding/programming basics for young learners. Ability to make technology engaging, accessible, and meaningful to diverse students. Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills. Experience using digital tools and platforms to enhance instruction. Passion for preparing students to be confident, responsible, and creative users of technology.
