Patient Care Coordinator

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values accuracy, organization, and teamwork.Key Responsibilities Greet and check in patients, ensuring a friendly and professional experience from arrival through check-out. Verify and update patient demographic, insurance, and billing information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Collect and post patient payments, including co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, and outstanding balances. Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant patient records and documentation. Answer incoming calls, respond to patient questions, and schedule or confirm appointments. Support clinical and administrative teams to maintain efficient patient flow throughout the day. Communicate with patients regarding appointments, procedures, and financial policies. Participate in staff meetings and assist with departmental projects or tasks as assigned.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare front desk, or patient services role a plus. Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with computers, data entry, and Microsoft Office. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between all Nielsen Eye Center locations.
