Specialties include cardiology, endocrinology, hepatology, organ transplantation, pediatrics, primary care, neurology, OBGYN, neurosurgery & orthopedics. Job Summary: Under general supervision, following established policies, procedures and professional guidelines, the Phlebotomist 2 is responsible for the collection, and delivery of specimens. Assists the Team Leaders & Manager with various clerical a training tasks, and is capable of performing "Phlebotomist in Charge" duties in absence of the Team Leaders. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital. Qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Graduation from an approved Phlebotomy Training Program is preferred. Must have 2 years previous experience as a phlebotomist or lab assistant: minimum of 6 months tenure with Tampa General Hospital; documented computer, pediatric & capillary puncture expertise and competency. Current nationally recognized Phlebotomy Certification required.
