Quality Control Inspector â 1st Shift Industry: Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing Seeking a Quality Control Inspector responsible for receiving, in-process, and final inspections of raw materials, machined parts, and assemblies, ensuring compliance with engineering documents, customer requirements, and quality standards. Responsibilities • Strong GD&T knowledge; review drawings per ASME Y14.5 • Inspect raw materials, castings, and finished vendor parts • Perform first-article and in-process inspections • Inspect completed parts and verify assemblies before release • Ensure compliance with customer requirements (packaging, marking, etc.) • Verify calibration of measuring equipment • Perform dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gages, optical comparator, surface plates, etc. • Compare measurements to drawings for acceptability • Prepare reject reports and maintain inspection/vendor records • Verify documentation from machine shop, assembly, and vendors • Work with production to prioritize jobs Qualifications • 3â5 years Quality Control experience (manufacturing preferred) • High school diploma + machining/inspection training • Knowledge of machine shop and inspection practices • Blueprint reading and interpretation • Knowledge of military and commercial standards • Experience with assemblies and sub-assemblies • Ability to measure tight tolerances (±0.0001") • Strong organization and scheduling skills KPG123
