Job DetailsDescriptionEssential Duties:Support Service Manager in overseeing daily Service WIP to meet department goals through prioritization of work, effective scheduling of resources, and management of the customer experience.Provide daily supervision and work direction to Service department employees, including assigning jobs, coordinating workloads, answering questions, and supporting employees in completing work accurately and efficiently.Monitor workflow, employee productivity, and adherence to company standards; escalate performance issues to the Service Manager as needed.Communicate with customers, managers, and sales representatives daily regarding scheduling, quoting, and repair of equipment.Estimate all service work to be performed in CDK; invoice work orders as completed and approved by customers.Assist the Service Manager and support team in ensuring department compliance with all safety, environmental, and company policies; reinforce safe work practices through observation, coaching, and guidance.Support onboarding and ongoing training of Service department employees by providing instruction, feedback, and mentoring.Maintain accurate documentation and oversight of all service transactions.Other duties as assigned.Leadership CompetenciesTechnicalFunctional knowledge of all key operating systems to include critical product applications.Ability to read and interpret documents related to branch operationsFunctional knowledge of key product systems, products, and componentsInterpersonalAbility to develop and maintain healthy relationships with Branch and Company staffAbility to develop and maintain healthy relationships with customers and effectively resolves any service-related disputesEffectively communicate in various environments and settings through multiple channelsPositionalCreate safe, positive work environment for employees.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsInterpretation of a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formOrganizationalUnderstanding of financial performance inputs and familiarization with financial definitions: GM, OpEx, OpInc & EBITDAUnderstanding of interdepartmental relationships and effectively manage outcomes across departmentsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.Essential QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related industry.Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively guide, coach, and support employees.Desirable Qualifications2-year technical degree in related field preferredAt least 1 year of experience in a role involving supervision, work direction, or team coordination Direct industry experienceADA RequirementsFrequently stands, walks, bends, squats, kneels, twists, reaches, or otherwise moves throughout the branch and service area.Occasionally performs repetitive motions, grasping, or keyboarding for computer-based tasks and documentation.Occasionally climbs ladders or equipment to inspect or guide work.Occasionally lifts, moves, or otherwise transfers up to 50 lbs.; frequently lifts or moves items up to 20 lbs.May sit for periods while performing administrative, scheduling, or reporting duties.Exposure to typical machine shop and service shop environments, which may include moving mechanical parts, noise, and other standard shop hazards.Supports safe work practices through observation, coaching, and oversight of employees performing physically demanding tasks.Internal applicants: This position is classified as Salary Grade 6, with a salary range of $59,679.55 to $89,163.83.This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required for the position.
