Currently we are looking for a qualified individual to work as a Subject Matter Expert/Technical Lead (Hybrid) with our direct client in Raleigh, NC. (Webcam Interview Only) ***This is a hybrid position – The candidate will have a mandatory office day once a week. ***Additionally, there may be up to four onsite days (per month) for specific design or architecture meetings, especially when collaborating with other agencies or the Department of Information Technology (DIT). This role will function as the technical lead/SME for the innovation team within the GDAC Enterprise team, overseeing the introduction of innovative enterprise proof of concepts and solutions using the latest technologies. This entails utilizing advanced analytics and data science techniques, including Artificial Intelligence, by leveraging specialized technologies such as SAS and other industry-standard cloud-native non-SAS technologies and tools. This is a technical lead role with a more specialized skill set, a heightened level of knowledge and experience in data engineering and data science technologies. This position aligns with statewide strategic plans to leverage data assets and analytics to further advance a data-driven government. Advance the data integration and analytics program statewide. Description (including, but not limited to): Guidance and leadership in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures, or business applications and products that run on those platforms, beyond that of a Developer / Programmer. Understanding and knowledge of application development and architecture that serve as a strong base for technical expertise in a specific product or program. Analysis, visual design, development, data analysis, testing and implementation, technical and user documentation, software conversions, maintenance (including production support), etc. Required & Desired Skills: Experience in leading/facilitating the development of business and technical requirements including data, technical and process models. Highly desired 5 Years Ability to research, learn, develop, and manage new programming languages and techniques. Highly desired 7 Years Working knowledge of AWS or Azure Cloud services.
