Accounting Manager
Accounting ManagerThe Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies. This role leads key accounting functions including general ledger, cost accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and plays a critical role in month-end close, audits, tax filings, and financial analysis. The Accounting Manager works closely with finance leadership and cross‑functional teams to support operational decision‑making, particularly in a manufacturing environment, while maintaining strong internal controls and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, and fixed assetsPrepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedulesLead and coordinate the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysisEnsure financial reporting complies with U.S. GAAP, corporate policies, and applicable regulatory requirementsMaintain and review internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent errors or fraudSupport internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to audit inquiriesAssist with cash management activities, bank reconciliations, and authorized wire transfersPrepare and review sales tax, property tax, and other regulatory filings as requiredProvide financial analysis related to manufacturing operations, including production variances and cost analysisPartner with finance leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and operational planningSupervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, promoting strong teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvementIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and efficienciesPerform other job-related duties as assigned and support business needs across locations as requiredQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalentMinimum 6 years of overall accounting experienceAt least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing industry environmentStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirementsStrong Excel skills required, including experience with complex spreadsheets and financial analysisValid driver's license, current insurance, and clean driving recordPreferred QualificationsCertified Public Accountant (CPA) designationBilingual in SpanishSkills and CompetenciesStrong leadership and people management skillsExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesHigh attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentEffective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departmentsProfessional integrity, sound judgment, and a commitment to ethical business practices All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
