Cargo Van Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage routes effectively. Duties Operate a van or box truck to deliver goods to various locations according to scheduled routes. Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring safe handling of all cargo. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each route. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road. Follow all safety protocols and regulations while driving and during loading/unloading processes. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including forklift operation and manual handling of materials. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience preferred. Experience with manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Familiarity with route driving and delivery driver responsibilities. Ability to load and unload items safely, including heavy lifting when necessary. Previous experience in a warehouse setting is beneficial. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate logs and schedules. Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
