Rocks and Ropes Facilitator-SMR (2026)

POSITION SUMMARY Under the direction of the Adventure Director, the Rocks and Rope Facilitator will assist with facilitating climbing wall sessions, high and low ropes course elements, and facilitating our Aerial Challenger Course program. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Answering guest questions regarding Adventure Activities and other activities run by our Programs Department Facilitating both the Indoor and Outdoor Climbing walls Facilitating on our High Ropes Course Facilitating on our Low Ropes Course Facilitating on our Aerial Challenge Course Assist in program development and advancement Be comfortable working at height Attend and participate in staff meetings Know and adhere to policies and procedures set forth by YMCA of the Rockies Use a computer to assist guests in enrolling for Adventure Activities and enter data prior to and after activities All other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: Must have up-to-date certifications in First Aid and CPR Must have a high degree of skill working with people of all ages Must meet acceptable criminal background check standards Must be able to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays Preferred facilitation experience GENERAL YMCA OF THE ROCKIES REQUIREMENTS Uphold and reflect the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility and Faith in all functions Uphold the YMCA of the Rockies Mission, policies, and programs Possess excellent customer service skills; for example, friendly, personable, helpful, patient, and professional Support the Association safety program.
