Process Reliability Engineer The Process Reliability Engineer has responsibility for ensuring that the company’s equipment and processes operate at optimal levels and meet the needs of the organization. The role focuses on preventing equipment failures at the Riverview Facility through the development and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance systems, procedures, and process optimizations. Key Responsibilities Assesses and monitors equipment for reliability of operation, implementing necessary improvements. Maintains system classification of incoming equipment with the system owner, including assembly of supplier operating and maintenance manuals, installation and operational qualification. Ensures that appropriate critical spares are in place, conducting regular Vital, Essential, Desirable analysis to determine required spares based on risk. Researches and develops new equipment that can be used in the facility. Assists in preparing Standard Operating Procedures detailing equipment operation, maintenance, and cleaning as part of the qualification package. Translates data from Root Cause Centered Maintenance (RCCM) to support Autonomous Maintenance programs and trains Operations personnel in autonomous maintenance. Reviews calibration documentation from ASI departments and outside contractors, maintaining calibration SOPs, records, and qualification of contractors. Manages risk to achieve strategic objectives in environmental health and safety, asset capability, quality, and production. Conducts risk analyses routinely when production equipment functions outside expected parameters. Develops Total Cost of Ownership, Mean Time to Failure, Life Cycle Cost, Mean Time to Repair metrics for critical equipment. Runs process improvement projects from design through implementation, applying RCCM to develop improved preventive maintenance tasks. Executes changes through completion, from initiation of change controls to revising software instructions, coordinating work with Maintenance/Engineering, and closing out change controls. Conducts Root Cause Investigations into equipment failures, developing robust corrective actions. Collaborates with other departments to integrate reliability into all aspects of the organization. Participates in and executes qualification and validation of equipment and processes. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline. Minimum three years of experience in a related or similar field. Job Competencies Analytical thinking – ability to think critically and logically, working with large sets of data. Root Cause Analysis – applying RC analysis and investigations to determine root causes and create effective corrective actions. Communication – explaining technical concepts clearly and collaborating effectively with others. Project management – managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, planning, scheduling, and organizing. Data management – using statistical analysis tools to determine correlations between equipment performance and breakdown data. Continuous improvement mindset – identifying and implementing ways to improve reliability, applying lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma concepts. Safety consciousness – identifying potential hazards and mitigating them. CMMS knowledge – understanding CMMS system and functions. Regulatory knowledge – applying regulations to manufacturing processes. Preferred Experience Experience with Agile Project Management System.
