This expertise assures you of our ability to handle the largest and most complex packages quickly and efficiently.Job Summary:Panelmatic is seeking a detail-oriented experienced Mechanical Engineer. The Mechanical Engineer will create/review models and BOM's for power distribution equipment including Metal-Clad Switchgear, Metal-Eclosed Switchgear and Panelboards.Job Duties:Review electrical diagrams and requirements from electrical engineeringConvert electrical drawings into a mechanical package including elevations, section views and bill of materialProvide electrical engineering with mechanical components of drawing packageRelease bill of material for purchasing and fabricationReceive new product designs, product modifications and implement the new designs/changes into production engineering systemsProvide support to manufacturing regarding project questions and issuesInteract with electrical engineering, and project management as requiredCommunicate job status, including possible issues, with supervisor1-3 years experience in sheet metal design, with a preference for medium voltage switchgear design or UL891 switchboardBS in Mechanical Engineering degree requiredKnowledge of the typical mechanical design principlesExperience in creating 3D renderings and side views based on single line and elevation drawingsFamiliarity with ANSI, ASME, NEC and UL standardsAutoCAD and SolidWorks experience preferredStrong organizational and time management skills requiredAbility to work in a multi project multitask environment with changing priorities requiredAnalytical abilities and problem-solving skills requiredExcellent communication skills both written and verbal requiredUS work authorization without sponsorship requiredGrowth mindset with the ability to accept challenges requiredAbility to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more requiredAbility to sit, stand, and walk for four plus hours at a time requiredMedical, dental, vision, HSA, term life, AD&D, STD, LTD100% medical premium paid for by Panelmatic for the employee-only level medical coverage80% paid for by Panelmatic and 20% paid for by the employee on all other level medical coverage (ie employee plus child, employee plus spouse, family)401(k) contributions matched 100% up to 4%Scholarships, educational reimbursement, paid volunteerism, and paid personal and professional development providedPTO and paid holidays providedCareer advancement opportunitiesCompetitive wagesFamily-friendly environment with average employee tenure above five years
