Proposals are often complex, primarily inaerospace and defense, and support Federal Government and commercial opportunities. Responsible for managing material and labor estimators and for analyzing Requests for Quotation (RFQ's), and providing advice on bid strategy, risk assessment, and price data requirements.Essential FunctionsManage the receipt, preparation, and submittal of quotes to the review team for final review; includes cost, technical, and management proposals as requiredIntegrate proposal input from team members, edit and proofread final document for completeness, accuracy and quality; includes review of all labor, material and Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) estimates; together with rate structures and budgets for each bidEnsure that proposals are submitted on schedule and in accordance with all customer RFQ requirementsAct as key member of final bid/quote review team to establish competitive guidelines and recommend strategyCommunicate to customers and internal staff during bid process and follow-up after awardRepresent Quote Department during customer and supplier onsite visits and/or Teams calls as requiredProvide labor and material budgets upon awardPerform other assignments as requiredKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesDemonstrated project management experience—planning, budget, and allocation of resourcesNegotiation and conflict management skills coupled with demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and problem-solvingAdvanced ERP, Automated Quote Software (SupplyFrame/QuoteWin, CalcuQuote, or other), and Microsoft Office skills (e-mail, Word, Excel), intermediate level Power Point, and Access preferredAbility to supervise employees, provide mentoring, and resolve issuesExceptional organization skills are required with emphasis on attention to detailsExcellent written and verbal skillsFlexible with high energy, able to handle multiple tasks smoothlyVery organized, detail-oriented, with attention to accuracyRequired Experience & EducationBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or related required (advanced experience may be considered in lieu of education)Minimum 5 years progressive experience in estimating or related field, including 3 years supervisory experienceWhy You'll Love Working HereCompetitive pay and great benefits— including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time offBe part of a company that's growing, changing, and full of new opportunitiesA supportive, team-focused culture where your ideas matterMeaningful work that impacts industries making a difference in the worldIntervala utilizes and/or develops certain technologies which are subject to the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR) or the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).Intervala is required to verify the status of all employees to determine whether each employee is a U.S. Person or a Foreign Person for the purposes of determining if an export authorization is required to approve an employee's access to export-controlled items, not as a condition for hire.Equal Opportunity Employer Intervala, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer and value diversity in our workforce.
