Job Title: Draftsman (Panel Systems)Employment Type: Full-TimeReports To: Project ManagerSalary: Open for discussionPosition OverviewThe Draftsman (Panel Systems) is responsible for developing detailed shop and fabrication drawings for cladding systems, including aluminum composite material (ACM), metal panels, and other façade systems. This role involves translating architectural and engineering designs into accurate, buildable drawings while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Drawing & DesignPrepare detailed shop and fabrication drawings, including layouts, dimensions, and system details.Develop 2D and 3D models of panel assemblies using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.Ensure proper integration of panel systems with structural components and other building materials.Revise and update drawings based on feedback from clients and project teams.Collaboration & CoordinationWork closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand design requirements.Coordinate with fabrication teams to ensure drawings align with manufacturing capabilities.Collaborate with installation teams to address site-specific challenges and modifications.Documentation & ReportingPrepare material take-offs, cutting lists, and fabrication documentation.Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.Provide technical support during fabrication and installation, including responding to RFIs (Requests for Information).Quality AssuranceReview drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.Ensure adherence to industry standards, building codes, and client requirements.Optimize designs for cost efficiency and ease of installation.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.Minimum 2+ years of experience in drafting for ACM panel systems, cladding, or metal façade design.SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar design tools.Strong knowledge of ACM panel systems, façade materials, and fabrication processes.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Preferred QualificationsCertification in CAD or Drafting Technology.Familiarity with LEED standards or sustainable design practices.Additional RequirementsUnderstanding of relevant building codes and industry standards.Ability and willingness to visit project sites as required.Work Environment & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experience.Collaborative and dynamic team environment.Employee BenefitsHealth Insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision)Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick Leave, Holidays)401(k) with company matching
