Position Summary: The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of branch operations, including sales, profitability, customer service, and staff development. This role is accountable for achieving branch financial goals by effectively managing gross margin and operating expenses. The Branch Manager ensures efficient day-to-day operations, fosters strong customer and vendor relationships, and drives sustainable growth in alignment with company objectives. Key Responsibilities: Provide overall leadership and management for branch staff, including counter, warehouse, and delivery teams. Responsible for achieving branch sales goals and to build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and technicians to support customer satisfaction and loyalty. Analyze sales trends, market activity, and competitor strategies to identify opportunities for branch growth. Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations to develop a high-performing team. Monitor and control customer receivables, ensuring timely collections and adherence to company credit policies. Plan, implement, and evaluate local promotional activities to increase sales and market share within the branch territory. Oversee branch operations, including inventory management, purchasing coordination, order fulfillment, shipping/receiving, and facility maintenance. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC wholesale distribution or related industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role. Preferred: Strong knowledge of HVAC products, applications, and industry best practices. Customer service and sales focused mindset. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency with ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM tools. Valid driver's license. Performance Metrics (KPIs): Branch Manager performance will be evaluated against the following measurable outcomes: Sales Growth: Achieve or exceed branch sales targets and year-over-year growth goals. Gross Margin: Maintain or improve branch gross margin percentage in line with company standards. Receivables Management: Meet past-due receivables goals through proactive credit and collections management. Expense Control: Operate within approved expense budgets while maintaining operational efficiency. Customer Satisfaction: Improve and maintain customer retention and satisfaction through service excellence. Inventory Management: Maintain appropriate inventory turns and minimize stockouts or excess. Employee Development: Demonstrate staff retention, engagement, and skill development through training, coaching, and performance reviews. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in a warehouse environment when necessary. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and use of office and warehouse equipment. This is an exempt, salaried position and requires a high degree of commitment. Ability to work extended hours especially during summer season. Work Environment: This position is based in a branch office and warehouse environment with occasional travel for customer visits, vendor meetings, and company training.
