Job Title: MuleSoft DeveloperLocation: Remote in United States onlyType: Contract of at least 12 monthsStart Date: ASAPOverview:Optomi is partnering with a leader in the food distribution industry that is launching a major pricing initiative with the implementation of PROS pricing software and is seeking an experienced MuleSoft Developer to join the team immediately. You will be responsible for developing APIs and integrations using Mule 4 on top of the existing infrastructure, with a strong focus on backend development, data transformation, and system integration. This role will involve working closely with databases, AWS services, and MySQL Server to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance integration solutions.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain APIs and integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Mule 4 runtime.Implement complex data transformations using DataWeave 2.0 to connect, map, and process data between multiple systems and formats (JSON, XML, CSV, etc.).Integrate the PROS pricing software with internal and external systems through REST and SOAP APIs.Work with relational databases (MySQL Server) for data retrieval, processing, and persistence.Leverage AWS services for integration hosting, monitoring, and scalability.Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and other developers to deliver robust integration solutions.Participate in code reviews, unit/integration testing, and deployment processes.Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues in development, staging, and production environments.Required Qualifications:3+ years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Mule 4 development.Strong proficiency in DataWeave 2.0 for data transformation.Solid experience with backend development, including API design and integration patterns.Proficiency with relational databases (MySQL Server, SQL queries, stored procedures).Experience working with AWS cloud services.Strong understanding of RESTful and SOAP web services.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and Agile/Scrum methodologies.Preferred Qualifications:Experience integrating pricing or ERP systems (PROS or similar platforms).MuleSoft Certification(s) such as MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 (Mule 4).Experience with API security standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT).
