Robotics Systems Operations Engineer
About the Role
As a Robotics Systems Operations Engineer, you will serve as the primary technical lead for our advanced automated material handling environments. You will ensure peak system performance by monitoring complex electromechanical networks, troubleshooting critical operational bottlenecks, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize throughput and reliability.
Responsibilities
Oversee the real-time health and performance of automated robotic vehicles, vertical lift modules, and integrated conveyor adapters.
Diagnose and resolve complex system-level faults, providing rapid technical escalation to maintain operational uptime.
Translate intricate technical data into actionable insights for site teams and stakeholders to improve overall system efficiency.
Document technical incidents and collaborate with engineering departments to implement long-term corrective solutions.
Facilitate training for on-site personnel on warehouse management systems, robotics hardware, and standard operating procedures.
Champion safety excellence by strictly enforcing OSHA compliance, LOTO protocols, and fall protection standards in high-altitude work zones.
Drive continuous improvement projects to standardize workflows and enhance the scalability of automated infrastructure.
Qualifications
Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial automated systems.
Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen Bradley or Siemens) and industrial robotics (ABB).
Technical competency in SQL, Linux, and Python for system diagnostics and data analysis.
Proven ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and working at heights up to 45 feet.
Preferred Skills
Experience in a high-pressure, fast-paced production or logistics environment.
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on client-facing communication and cross-functional collaboration.
Demonstrated aptitude for learning new hardware architectures and complex software interfaces.
