You will lead architecture, design, validation, and system-level debugging of high-speed PCB assemblies while developing the infrastructure required to bring products into scalable manufacturing. Backed by strong funding and experienced technical leadership, the company is focused on delivering high-performance systems that can scale efficiently into production environments.Job DutiesArchitect and design complex multilayer PCB systems for high-speed hardware, including power distribution, high-speed interfaces, control circuits, and debug accessDefine electrical system architecture and make trade-offs across performance, signal integrity, thermal constraints, manufacturability, and testabilityLead signal integrity and power integrity strategy, including simulation and margin analysis prior to fabricationOwn board bring-up, validation, and system-level debugging, developing repeatable workflows for production useDesign and build evaluation platforms for new components, including silicon, optics, and interconnect technologiesDefine validation strategies for critical high-speed interfaces and ensure compliance with performance requirementsDevelop automated test infrastructure and firmware flashing workflows in partnership with firmware and manufacturing teamsCollaborate with manufacturing to ensure designs meet DFM and DFT requirements, supporting yield, test coverage, and serviceabilityAnalyze production data and failure modes to drive root cause analysis and continuous improvementContribute to internal standards, documentation practices, and design review processesQualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field2+ years of experience designing high-speed hardware systems through production releaseStrong experience with schematic capture and multilayer PCB layout tools such as Altium or equivalentDeep understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and high-speed interface designHands-on experience with lab instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, VNAs, TDRs, and advanced debug toolsProven experience leading board bring-up and resolving system-level hardware issuesExperience working closely with manufacturing teams and supporting production readiness effortsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in fast-paced environmentsWillingness to support demanding build and test schedules when neededPreferred ExperienceBackground in optical, photonic, semiconductor, or high-performance computing hardwareExperience developing automated test infrastructure for production or characterization environmentsFamiliarity with firmware flashing and debug workflows such as JTAG, SWD, or ISPExperience mentoring engineers or leading technical programsScripting experience for test automation or data analysis using Python, MATLAB, or similar toolsExperience with SI and PI simulation tools such as HFSS, SIwave, or HyperLynxExperience with HDI, rigid-flex, or RF PCB designFamiliarity with EMC and EMI design practices and compliance testingExperience with configuration management, PLM systems, or engineering change processesWhy Join UsEquity participation and performance-based incentivesMedical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependentsPaid parental leave and flexible PTO policyAccess to a 401(k) retirement planRelocation support for candidates moving to the Los Angeles areaCompensation DetailsSalary range: $120,000 – $180,000
