Human Resources Manager (Champaign)

Summary of Position:The human resource manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function. This position manages the HR Department employees for Safety (EHS&S), General Affairs (GA), Team Relations (TR) and basic Human Resources of the department. This position is responsible for implementing and following corporate direction for the site. The incumbent will be self-motivated and will be expected to be a contributor to the overall site success as it relates to our employees..Corporate:Adheres to the HTGSS policies and proceduresLearns, demonstrates and upholds HTGSS Core ValuesComplies with all HTGSS Certification standards; Management System (TS16949), Environmental ISO 14001-2015 and Health and Safety ISO 45001-2018 policies and proceduresTreats all HTGSS team members with respect and professional courtesyAlways strives to maintain a positive work environmentManages the department budget efficiently as per approved annual budgetPerforms additional assignments / duties as assignedEHS:Adhere to all safety policies and proceduresComplies with all safety policies and 5S clean philosophy to maintain a safe, clean working environmentMeets company safety goalsDuties and Responsibilities:Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, basic benefits, Team Relations, and adherence to the company standardsManage employee related items legally and consistently with corporate structureManage HR Department budget for efficiency and effectivenessManage the site HR KPI objectivesEmbody the values of the company and demonstrate each day the standards we expect of all our employees.Advise site leadership on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and anti-harassment, company valuesVarious reporting activities such as headcount, attendance, reporting complex legal issues, budget etc.Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward organizational objectivesIdentify staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicantsPlan, organize, direct, control or coordinate the personnel, training, or team relations activities of the organizationRepresent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigationsAdminister various programs such as compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety.Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefitsAnalyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organization's personnel policies and practicesPrepare and follow budgets for personnel operationsMaintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism ratesManage the company safety, security and health systems for the company and create opportunities to improve.Investigate and report on various assigned duties and tasks.Other duties as assigned.Reporting:Reports to: Corporate Human Resources HODBenefits:401(k)Health InsuranceLife InsuranceSupplemental InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsurancePaid time offCompetency Requirements:Confidentiality: Adheres to the upmost confidentiality; particularly regarding handling employment/personal information.
