Associate Registrar

POSITION SUMMARY: The Associate Registrar works closely with the Registrar, Admission, Academic Deans, and First-Year Experience to process transfer work for new, current, and returning undergraduate students, as well as graduate applicants, while supporting student academic success and retention. This role participates in process change initiatives and serves as functional lead in special projects ensuring compliance with institutional standards.Principal Duties And ResponsibilitiesSupports the academic policies of the university and implementation of policies approved by the Provost Cabinet and/or Curriculum Committee.Processes major changes and/or checksheet adjustmentsServes as the transfer clerk for the Registrar’s Office.Serves as the graduate program clerk for the Registrar’s Office.Verifies official and unofficial transcriptsVerifies graduate student records for degree conferral.Coordinates transcripts for prospective and returning undergraduate students with AdmissionCoordinates transcript evaluation request between Admission and the RegistrarCoordinates transfer work requests/pre-approval formsAssist the registrar’s office with various tasks (i.e., orders, budget, assessment, commencement, registration, etc.).Advises students, parents, faculty and staff about academic policies and procedures in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Leads or participates in special projects related to student records, registration systems, class scheduling, degree completion, and process improvements by implementing or leveraging innovative technologies and systems to enhance office operations and student services. Addresses and resolves complex or escalated issues related to student records, class scheduling, registration, or degree completion. Resolves problems and enhances various processes, projects, procedures, etc. by employing critical thinking skills and creativity. Required Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesDetail-oriented and highly skilled at managing multiple tasks efficiently, ensuring accuracy and productivityStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build meaningful connections and collaborate effectively.Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, complemented by a proven capacity to deliver clear and engaging oral and written communications.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel certification (Expert Certification preferred).Master's Degree1-2 years related experience.An applicant must be a born-again Christian who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
