Operations Supervisor

The Operations Supervisor provides leadership across production shifts and operational areas, driving performance, safety, and reliability. This role leads teams, collaborates cross-functionally, and plays a key part in strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.Work Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off (Rotating Schedule)Location: Lamesa, TX ResponsibilitiesPlan and coordinate scheduled downtimes with production departments.Communicate production issues to the Operations Superintendent and identify improvement opportunities.Manage assigned production areas as directed.Support the development and execution of site safety initiatives.Perform administrative duties including planning, scheduling, and reporting.Promote and adhere to all safety regulations; report hazardous conditions immediately.Assist in executing production activities aligned with the operations plan.Perform additional duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within mining or heavy industrial environments.Strong commitment to safety and quality.Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Comfortable working outdoors in varying seasonal conditions.Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work from elevated platforms, and use hand tools.Strong problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications:MSHA knowledge.Forklift experience.Computer software proficiency.Warehouse or plant operations experience.Employer DescriptionU.S. Silica is a leading producer of industrial minerals essential to modern life.
