Experienced Security Systems & Structured Cabling Technician

We're looking for an Experienced Security Systems & Structured Cabling Technician who takes pride in doing quality work, solving problems in the field, and representing our company professionally. If you're dependable, self-motivated, and have experience installing and servicing security systems along with voice, data, and fiber cabling, we'd love to hear from you. Starting Pay $30.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. This Position Requires This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have at least 2–3 years of hands-on experience installing and servicing electronic security systems and structured cabling. Responsibilities Install, program, troubleshoot, and service intrusion alarm systems Install and service access control systems Install and configure IP surveillance camera systems (CCTV) Install, terminate, test, and certify Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling Install and troubleshoot voice, data, and network infrastructure Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project documentation Perform service calls and diagnose system issues efficiently Maintain accurate documentation of completed work Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and office staff Ensure all installations meet company quality standards and applicable codes Maintain company tools, vehicles, and equipment Preferred Experience Commercial and residential alarm systems Access control platforms IP camera systems Fiber termination and testing Network troubleshooting Manufacturer certifications (preferred) Requirements Minimum 2–3 years of industry experience Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders, lifts, and construction sites Flexible schedule when needed (our technicians are typically done by 1–2 PM on Fridays, but flexibility is required) Benefits Competitive hourly pay Company vehicle Paid holidays Paid vacation Health insurance reimbursement Retirement plan with company match Quality tools and equipment Opportunities for advancement Why Foss Security?
