Logistics Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating daily and weekly container loading schedules to ensure timely and cost-efficient shipments. This role involves verifying documentation, segmenting vehicles by destination, managing bookings, and maintaining communication with trucking companies and internal teams. The Coordinator ensures compliance with export regulations and company margins while optimizing container usage and scheduling.

OBJECTIVES
Review documentation from the vehicle department to ensure compliance with export requirements (Title, POA, invoice).
Segment vehicles by destination, customs, and shipping lines to verify alignment with company margins using the container breakdown.
Analyze container size and shipping line to maintain cost-efficiency while meeting company standards.
Organize and dispatch containers to meet daily and weekly schedules, ensuring no delays.
Request bookings in advance and forecast weekly workload to align with operational capacity.
Verify booking information from shipping lines, including pickup dates and destination accuracy.
Coordinate with trucking companies to provide pickup schedules aligned with internal loading cycles.
Enter documents into the system, ensuring all data is confirmed using a warehouse captain checklist.
Double-check container information (e.g., container number, destination, and load accuracy).
Collaborate with the warehouse captain to create detailed loading plans based on validated documentation.
Communicate with the documentation department about sailing priorities and changes to avoid missed cutoffs.
Ensure all non-vehicle items in containers are identified and addressed by relevant parties.
Complete and analyze historical load reports to review trends and project future load requirements.
Maintain compliance with export standards and shipping line processes to prevent rejections or penalties.
Meet daily load targets, ensuring 30 containers are scheduled and dispatched as planned.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Familiarity with export systems (e.g., Magaya or Amadeus).
Knowledge of export documentation and shipping line processes.
Experience in logistics or container management is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
