Manufacturing Probe Test Engineer
Job Descriptiononsemi, based in Hopewell Junction, East Fishkill, New York, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated electrical Test Probe Engineer, responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting wafer-level electrical test and probe operations to ensure high-quality data collection for yield analysis, product characterization, and production test. This role works closely with product engineering, device characterization, process integration, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust test hardware, accurate probing performance, and high-throughput wafer test execution.ResponsibilitiesEngineer solutions for testing issues with high power, high voltage discrete semiconductor devices on a fleet of advanced automatic testersDevelop, debug, qualify, and deploy test programs to meet and exceed evolving customer needs and expectationsInvestigate and solve complex issues in a fast-paced test department, designing experiments and analyzing data to rigorously seek high-fidelity resultsSupport manufacturing and integration teams as front-line defense against yield lossQualify new tools to expand production capacity and enhance testing abilitiesWork with onsemi teams around the world on projectsUse bench test and common lab equipmentQualificationsQualifications: BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering/ Computer Engineering or Solid-State Physics or a similar degreeFamiliar with the fundamentals of semiconductor device physics. Familiar with C++ and data analysis software. Experience or knowledge in the GR&R process.
