Outbound Dock Loading Coordinator

*Position Summary* The Outbound Dock Loading Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the safe, accurate, and timely loading of outbound shipments. This position ensures orders are staged correctly, trailers are assigned to the appropriate dock doors, and shipments leave the facility on schedule. This position is also responsible for packing items on the line adjacent to the dock. *Key Responsibilities* · Coordinate all daily outbound loading activities. · Assign outbound trailers to designated dock doors. · Verify orders, load numbers, quantities, and shipping destinations before loading. · Ensure outbound freight is properly staged and ready for loading. · Coordinate with warehouse associates and forklift operators to maintain an efficient loading flow. · Monitor loading progress and prioritize shipments based on scheduled departure times. · Verify that the correct products and quantities are loaded onto each trailer. · Check freight for damage, proper labeling, and secure placement. · Communicate loading status, delays, shortages, or other issues to supervisors and appropriate departments. · Complete and verify outbound shipping paperwork and load documentation. · Ensure trailers are completed, closed, and released on schedule. · Maintain accurate records of outbound loads and trailer movements. · Pack items on the line adjacent to the dock as part of daily assigned responsibilities. · Follow and enforce all loading dock and warehouse safety procedures. · Maintain a clean, organized, and safe outbound dock and work area. *Qualifications* · Previous warehouse, shipping, loading, packing, or logistics experience preferred. · Strong organizational and communication skills. · Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. · Basic computer and shipping system skills. · Attention to detail and accuracy. · Ability to work effectively with warehouse associates, drivers, and supervisors. · Forklift experience or certification is preferred when required by the facility.
