Community Manager

Purpose The purpose of the Community Manager position is to uphold RYSE Management’s mission of building thriving communities through integrity, innovation, and service excellence. The Community Manager plays a vital part in advancing RYSE’s vision to elevate standards in property management while embodying our core values —Relationships, Yield, Stewardship, and Elevation — in every decision and interaction. Position Summary The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and financial performance of a multifamily property while ensuring a high standard of customer service, resident retention, and team engagement. This role requires a strong operational leader who can balance financial objectives with people focused management and compliance standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Operations & Financial Management: Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, rent collection, budget preparation, and expense control. Ensure financial targets are achieved and variances are analyzed and addressed. Resident Experience & Retention: Maintain high resident satisfaction through proactive communication, timely issue resolution, and organized community initiatives that promote engagement and retention. Leadership & Team Development: Recruit, train, and supervise leasing, maintenance, and office staff. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and promote a culture of teamwork and accountability. Marketing & Leasing Strategy: Develop and implement marketing initiatives to achieve and maintain occupancy goals. Partner with the marketing team to ensure online presence and community reputation align with company standards. Property Maintenance & Compliance: Ensure the property is maintained to RYSE’s operational and aesthetic standards. Oversee preventive maintenance programs, vendor contracts, and compliance with all safety, Fair Housing, and regulatory requirements. Client & Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the primary liaison between ownership, vendors, and the regional office. Provide timely operational reports and ensure ownership goals are consistently met. Risk & Crisis Management: Implement and monitor emergency response plans, incident reporting, and risk mitigation strategies. Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. Other Duties as Assigned: Participate in company-wide initiatives, pilot projects, and team collaborations as directed. Work Environment and Physical Requirements This position operates in a professional office environment within a multifamily property setting. Regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines is expected. The role may require occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and regular walking of the property grounds. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in business,management, or related field preferred. Minimum two (2) years of progressive experience in multifamily property management, including leadership and operational oversight. Proficiency in property management software such as OneSite, RealPage, or Yardi, along with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong leadership, communication, and conflictresolution skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Must maintain a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
