Entry Level Computer Technician

General Summary: DPC is looking for technicians that are interested in working in a fast-paced environment and consider their work A+. This person should be a good communicator and a person who can manage well when the client is in a pickle and really needs strong guidance. This person should be capable of handling all issues at a computer level. Most importantly, this person should be eager to learn while following prescribed procedures. Position Responsibilities: Provide Level 1 support DAILY time entry accounting for at least 8 hours Check Backup Logs and update the tickets or reports Check Anti-virus Onboard Managed Service Clients Stage New Computers Assist Sr. Technicians on Larger projects Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Capable of installing and troubleshooting all basic computer components (e.g. Power supplies, NICs, Video Cards, Motherboards, CPUs) Capable of manually installing network printers Capable of terminating jacks and punch downs Experience required with Windows desktop operating systems Understanding of TCP/IP and troubleshooting Internet connectivity Understanding of the relationship between switches, patch panels and connecting nodes to a network Working Knowledge of Wireless Technologies, Capable of installing and troubleshooting WAPs 2 year College Degree or equivalent (4-year degree preferred) Credentials and Experience: New hire with no certifications Eager to learn Takes direction from Technicians DPC Technology provided the following inclusive hiring information: We are an equal opportunity employer and considers all qualified applicants equally without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or disability status.
