Job Title: Innovation Manager Job Location: Pleasanton, CAJob Duration: 12 Months Contract on W2Summary:Supports research and early development teams in managing innovation initiatives, evaluating new ideas, and driving project execution in a dynamic scientific environment. This role focuses on coordinating research activities, facilitating innovation programs, and aligning new ideas with long-term business strategy. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve processes, promote innovation, and ensure successful delivery of research and development projects.Responsibilities:Support research teams in generating and evaluating new innovation ideasAssist in assessing, prioritizing, and developing early-stage research projectsOrganize and facilitate innovation workshops and cross-functional meetingsCollaborate with research, medical, and business teams to align innovation strategiesManage research processes, timelines, and communication across teamsMonitor project progress and ensure timely completion of innovation initiativesBuild relationships with internal stakeholders and external scientific networksTrack industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive innovationsImprove research workflows and operational processes to increase efficiencyCoach team members on innovation processes and project management best practicesSupport strategic planning and innovation roadmap developmentRequirements:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, or related field)3-5+ years of experience in life sciences, research, or innovation environmentsStrong project management and organizational skillsExperience working in research, R&D, or scientific environmentsAbility to manage complex projects and coordinate multiple stakeholdersStrong communication and collaboration skillsExperience facilitating meetings, workshops, or innovation programsAbility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentPreferred Qualifications:Doctorate (PhD) in a scientific disciplineExperience in innovation management or research operationsPMP, Agile, or Scrum certificationExperience working in biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industriesExperience with process improvement or change management initiativesStrong networking and stakeholder management skills
