Requests will only be accommodated if approved by the facility at the time of booking. Call off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Pending License Accepted: No. Must have an active SC or multistate license. Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Ratios: 1:3 Patient Population & Unit Details: Adults and geriatrics; 10-bed Progressive ICU caring for step-down patients who often transfer from ICU and may require higher acuity monitoring. Common diagnoses include respiratory failure, sepsis, heart failure, DKA/HHS, alcohol withdrawal, and overdose. Summary of Required Skills: Proficient in IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial and central line management, care of ventilated patients, external CPAP/BiPAP, isolation precautions, cardiac monitoring and emergency response (including dysrhythmia management), and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips. Floating: While Prisma Health prioritizes keeping staff in their home unit, agency staff are required to float to other units or campuses as needed. Floating is limited to areas where staff are qualified and have documented competencies.
