Safety, Compliance & Risk ManagerOakland, CA | Onsite | Contract (4-6 months)LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Safety, Compliance & Risk Manager for a fully onsite contract opportunity in Oakland, CA. This role is ideal for a safety leader with hands-on experience in warehouse or distribution environments who can drive compliance, risk mitigation, and safety culture across a diverse workforce. This position requires daily onsite presence and early morning hours.Position SummaryThe Safety, Compliance & Risk Manager will lead workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management initiatives across warehouse and operational teams. This role partners closely with operations, facilities, HR, and leadership to ensure a safe, compliant, and prepared work environment. The position oversees security staff and third-party safety vendors and serves as the primary point of contact for safety audits and inspections.Responsibilities:Safety & Compliance· Lead and maintain safety programs including IIPP, safety manuals, emergency action plans, and training programs· Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable state and local regulations· Manage OSHA filings including 300A logs and documentation· Serve as the primary contact for regulatory audits and inspectionsRisk Management· Conduct ongoing risk assessments across operations and facilities· Investigate workplace incidents and accidents; ensure documentation and corrective action· Partner with leadership on risk mitigation strategies· Support business continuity and emergency preparedness initiativesTraining & Safety Culture· Develop and manage organization-wide safety training programs· Maintain safety training calendars and mandatory training compliance· Deliver new-hire, annual, and topic-specific safety trainings· Promote strong safety culture across frontline and leadership teamsPeople & Vendor Management· Manage and coach 3-4 security staff· Oversee third-party safety and security vendors· Manage workplace security and video monitoring systemsRequired Qualifications· 5+ years of safety, compliance, or risk management experience· Experience in warehouse, distribution, or operational environments· Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations· Proven experience leading safety programs and training initiatives· Strong communication and leadership skills· Access to reliable transportationPreferred Qualifications· OSHA Certification· Experience with Cal-OSHA, DOT regulations, or distribution center safety· Management experience leading teams and vendors· Experience managing safety or video security platformsNitty Gritty· Duration: 4-6 months· Start Date: ASAP· Location: Oakland, CA - Fully Onsite· Work Schedule: Monday-Friday· Pay Rate: $50-$55 DOEPay Details: $50.00 to $55.00 per hourSearch managed by: Kristen SilvaBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
