You will work alongside a team of seasoned experts delivering technical due diligence and advisory support across Independent Engineering (debt and tax equity), Markets & Acquisitions (M&A), Owner’s Engineering, and Electrical Engineering consulting engagements in the North American market and beyond.In this role, you will apply your expertise in power systems, electronics, controls, and instrumentation to support project design, development, and construction. You will contribute to a dynamic, high performing team by driving innovation, delivering customer value, fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and identifying opportunities for team growth and improvement.This position can be located in our Austin, TX; Houston, TX; Medford, MA; Oakland, CA; San Diego, CA; Portland, OR; and Seattle, WA offices, presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. For more information :https://www.eeoc.gov/know-your-rights-workplace-discrimination-illegal About you: What is Required• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university• 7+ years’ relevant experience in renewable energy projects (for example: wind, solar, battery, hydrogen, and/or power electronics)• Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE or PEng)• Knowledge of IEEE, IEC, NEC, and CIGRE standards and guidelines• Experience in electrical system design and construction (distribution, substation, generation) and electrical system studies/modelling• Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, or other platforms used in engineering analytics , complemented with AI accelerators • Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language • We conduct pre-employment drug and background screeningWhat is Preferred • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from accredited university• Knowledge of protection, controls, and SCADA systems• Knowledge of bulk electric system operations, reliability standards, and regulations• Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for AI, machine learning, and digital tools that enhance engineering workflows and decision-making• Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, and timely delivery of engineering consulting projects• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage client-facing engagements • A valid Drivers License • Willingness to travel 25% domestically (more if desired) **Immigration-related employment benefits, for example visa sponsorship, are not available for this position** Benefits Please note, benefits may depend on your contract type, please confirm with your recruiter.
