Direct Support Professional

Individual seeking to hire someone to be her Direct Support Professional. We are seeking someone who can do specific days a week, this will include weekends. Must be able to drive long distances in all sorts of weather. I would like someone who has some experience in this field and good computer skills. You will be applying to work with one specific individual who lives in Oneida, NY but will also have times when her family is involved. I would appreciate someone who knows the DSP Core Competencies and Code of Ethics (but not mandatory). Looking to hire 1- 2 people for Wednesday /Wednesday night Friday’s and possibly Saturday afternoon and Sunday mornings. You will need a car and driver’s License, as you will be using it with the individual on a regular basis. Some of your responsibilities may include helping the individual budget/shop, taking her to things in the community such as church, grocery shopping and different activities she may want to be part of. There will be times you may need to travel with her for her work or family goals. Also, she has a support dog you may need to allow in your car at times. The starting rate is $ 18 an hr. You will also get a monthly milage check from Arc of Oneida/Lewis. We are looking for a responsible driver because this is her biggest need. Please have some knowledge of Epilepsy.
