Advanced RRT | Registered Respiratory Therapist - Critical Care
Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist providing vital respiratory assessment, support, and treatment in acute care, emergency, and outpatient settings within the Pacific Northwest region. This role primarily involves night shifts of 12 hours, totaling 48 hours per pay period.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver emergency respiratory care including artificial respiration and assist with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.Monitor patients' physiological responses such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry, consulting physicians when adverse reactions occur.Perform diagnostic tests including arterial blood gases (ABGs) and electrocardiograms (EKGs).Operate and manage respiratory devices like high flow oxygen systems, BiPAP, mechanical ventilators, aerosol generators, and environmental control systems according to treatment protocols.Provide training and support to clinical teams in respiratory care expertise.Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to assist in patient care and medical procedures.Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and accurately document all respiratory care activities in electronic or written records.Education and ExperienceAssociate degree from an accredited Respiratory Care Program is required.Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC.State Respiratory Therapist license and certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (to be obtained within 90 days of hire).Experience in critical care settings is essential.
