With almost a century of facility service experience, state of the art business practices, environmentally friendly processes and supplies and an established global reputation, we are able to offer unrivaled client experience and satisfaction.The Area Manager has operational accountability for their assigned accounts; they must manage and train their team and inspect the buildings regularly to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.Essential Duties:Manage and train the work of the janitorial staff in the buildings.Designate shift and area work assignments.Respond quickly and appropriately to all customer concerns or complaints; take full responsibility to ensure the customer receives closure on all issues and inquiries.Onboard and set-up training for all new employees (including hands-on training; job shadowing; etc.)Train by example: perform the duties of a janitor while they shadow you.Manage any employee relations or performance issues quickly and appropriately, Document and report to Branch Manager/ HR.Identify and communicate the need for any special project work to managementReview employee timekeeping to ensure compliance with timekeeping rule and complete payroll documents to ensure all employee time is paid correctly.Maintain cleaning supplies inventory.Respond to calls whenever needed.Enforce all safety policies and procedures; immediately report and investigate accidents.Complete training courses as required.Qualifications:Minimum 3 years management experience in Service industry required.Knowledge of Strip, seal, wax, and polish floors using appropriate cleaning products and techniquesKnowledge of Shampoo, Spot Clean, Extract Carpeting & UpholsteryVery Strong at customer service skillsAbility to meet deadlines and make sound decisions in stressful situations.Excellent attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish & EnglishStrong organizational skillsAble to multi-taskExperience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferredAbility to show judgment and to work independently.Bi-Lingual in Spanish a mustSchedule:Hours of Work:• The basic design of the Area managers schedule is Monday through Friday. Being available by cell phone at all times, but average starting time is approximately at 2pm and ending at approximately 10:00pm with various breaks throughout the day, with weekends as needed.Area Managers cannot be off duty between 4:00pm-7:00pm as this is our most critical part of the day.
