Professional Truck DriverResponsibilities:Operates vehicles to transport equipmentSupports the sales department with equipment deliveryLoads and transports equipment to and from customer locationsInstructs customers on basic equipment operating proceduresLoads and transports equipment between dealership locationsPicks equipment up from vendorsas neededPicks equipment up from the Deere factoryas neededDelivers bulk fluids to customersPerforms pre-trip inspectionsMaintains, cleans and cares for trucks and trailersMaintains activity records and obtains necessary signatures and receiptsProvides complete and thorough work order documentationAccounts for all time and distance traveled in performing assigned dutiesMaintains all required certifications in line with DOT and company policy Dealership Standards: Ensures an organized, professional workspace and maintains vehicles, tools, devices, and equipmentReports to work on time, manages time effectively, and works well independently and in groupsUpholds a professional personal appearanceSupports dealership customer service efforts and promotes all company departmentsFollows safety regulationsCompletes required trainingMaintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products Experience, Skills and Knowledge: One or more years' trucking experienceExperience with legal, safe methods of loading and hauling wide and/or heavy loads preferredExperience with basic computer functionsAbility to drive automatic and manual transmissionsAble to lift, bend, and carryValid driver's license with an insurable driving record requiredCDL (Commercial Driver's License) requiredDOT Health Card or ability to get one required This job description is meant to provide a general overview of the expected tasks for this position.
