Video Encoding & Decoding Tech Expert

Location: This position will be in our Alpharetta office or can be remote if necessary.Duties/Responsibilities:Research international standards for video encoding and decoding (such as H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, H.266/VVC, etc.), and their extension technologies.Design, implement, and optimize video encoding and decoding algorithms, including but not limited to core modules such as motion estimation/compensation, transform quantization, entropy encoding, loop filtering, and rate control.Explore and develop new generation efficient video encoding technologies such as JVET EE2.Pay attention to the latest technological trends in the field of video encoding and decoding (such as AI assisted encoding, end-to-end AI encoding, immersive video encoding, etc.), conduct forward-looking research and technical reserves.Participate in MPEG and other standard conferences and submit relevant technical proposals.Requirements:Master's degree or above in computer science, electronic engineering, signal processing or related majorsMore than 3 years of experience in researching or developing video encoding and decoding algorithmsProficient in the principles and implementation details of at least one mainstream video coding standard (such as H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, H.266/VVC,S AV1, etc.)Solid foundation in digital signal processing, image processing, and information theory, proficient in C/C++ programming language, good coding ability and software engineering literacyGood communication skills and teamwork spiritExcellent English reading and communication skillsExperience in MPEG and AVS proposals is preferred
