Anodizing Assistant

This position is based in King William Virginia, Monday through Thursday 7am-5pm. We are willing and able to train applicants from any skill level on any of our processes and equipment if they have the drive and desire to learn. PayScale will be based on experience and willingness to learn. Job Duties and Responsibilities Cleaning and preparing various parts for the anodizing process. Inspection of anodizing tanks, racks, and fixtures to ensure no contamination is introduced. Assist in finishing, cleaning, deburring, and packaging products. Introductory level titration of chemicals. Maintain good housekeeping of equipment and work area throughout the day. Assist with routine maintenance and inspection. Assist in our welding or machining departments when needed. Identify risks while handling chemicals and select proper PPE as needed. Polishing/buffing using multiple different wheels, tools, and compounds. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Reliable and able to follow instructions. Strong work ethic and ability to meet timed deadlines. Focused and maintain attention to detail. Basic knowledge of hand tools. Valid driver’s license. Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Must be legally able to be in a shop that works with firearms. Ability to lift and carry stock to and from the machines up to 50lbs Preferred: Experience with manual and CNC mill or lathe operation. Knowledge of basic inspection tools (Calipers, micrometers, etc.). Familiarity with Haas, Mazak, and/or Trotech machines. Ability to read/interpret machinist dimensional prints. Knowledge of forklift operation. TIG Welding experience or certification Experience with deburring and part inspection.
