The facility is located on a beautiful 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida, and includes 112 licensed beds.Position Summary The Patient Access registrar role is a clerical position involving multiple tasks and functions to facilitate the flow of patient information across the continuum of care.Duties/Responsibilities: The Patient Access Registrar (PAR) is primarily responsible for answering and appropriately managing incoming telephone calls scheduling patient assessments/appointments, creating pre-registrations including verification of benefits and financial counseling. It is also responsible for performing various administrative and clerical duties required to support these functions and, on an as-needed basis, may be required to perform other tasks. Assists with obtaining accurate patient demographics upon admission/registration. Assist with obtaining required income documentation and forms for patients who qualify for Charity/Indigent Care.This is a Per-Diem position.Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required.Minimum one (1) year business office experience preferred in a health care/insurance setting with computer knowledge and data entry skills. Spanish speaking skills preferred.Ability to deal with diverse and stress related situations in a calm manner.Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.Must have good organizational and computer technical skills and have the ability to set priorities.Handle with Care Crisis Intervention Training required (Can be obtained upon hire)Current CPR Certification required (Can be obtained upon hire)One of the nation's largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services, Universal Health Services, Inc.
