This role involves identifying abnormal rhythm variances, documenting findings, and promptly notifying nursing staff to support timely patient assessment and intervention. The Monitor Technician works closely with nurses and clinical teams to support high‐quality, patient‐centered care.Principal Accountabilities:Review patient medical information to determine baseline heart rhythm patterns, current rhythms, and any prior variancesContinuously observe cardiac monitor screens and respond to alarms to identify abnormal heart rhythm patternsPromptly notify the supervisor or assigned Registered Nurse of observed rhythm variances to initiate patient examinationMeasure heart rhythm patterns on telemetry or graphic tape readouts using calipers and accurately document findings in patient recordsAnswer calls for assistance from patients and respond to inquiries from medical and nursing staff as appropriatePrepare and maintain accurate documentation related to cardiac monitoring evaluations, progress reports, and individualized care considerationsUtilize telemetry equipment in accordance with hospital policies and safety standardsPerform other related duties as assigned to support unit workflow and patient care operations
