Together we can make a difference in the financial future of our communities.Apply today!What our team members are saying:Video Clip 1Video Clip 2Video Clip 3Learn more about us at cathaybank.comGENERAL SUMMARYDocumentation, Closing & Funding Department is responsible for preparing commercial loan documentation in LaserPro or reviewing attorney prepared loan documents, drafting lender's instructions, and coordinate loan closing ensuring all loan documents are properly executed, and all loan terms/conditions are fulfilled and collateral perfection within allowed timeframe.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSCreate LaserPro loan documents for all simple commercial loans (i.e. CRE loans, C&I with Sub-limits, Working Capital loans, SBA 7A & 504 loans, International Trade Finance Loans, Construction Loans and Asset Based Lines of Credit).Review attorney prepared loan documents prior to borrower signing to verify inclusion of Cathay Bank standard provisions, covenants, and other wording in accordance with approval.Validate the receipt of the loan and borrower supporting documentation and that the request follows Bank's policies, procedures, and Federal, State, and other regulatory requirements.Communicate and resolve any supporting documentation issues or questions/clarifications on the conditions/wording appearing in the approval with Lending Unit and/or Cathay Bank legal counsel.If applicable, create escrow closing instructions and pre-closing conditions and any other conditions required for Lender/Borrower.Receive signed loan documents and perform closing and funding activities including ensuring all loan documents are properly executed by authorized signer and reviewed/signed by Account Officer.Process wire request, remit funds to payoff other lender, file UCC-1, set up and maintain ticker and monitoring databases.Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner and satisfactory manner (i.e. Lending Units, Loan Servicing and Cathay Bank legal counsel).Track for trailing documents (i.e. recorded UCC filings, deed of trust and title policy, etc.).Other duties as deemed necessary by supervisor/manager.QUALIFICATIONSEducation: College graduate with major in accounting or business preferred but not required.Experience: 3+ years commercial lending or banking experience with working knowledge of lending regulations. Experience generating loan documents using LaserPro.Skills/Ability:. PC proficient. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Organized and detail oriented. Ability to work independently without much supervision.OTHER DETAILS$26.92 - $30.77 / hourPay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.Cathay Bank offers its full-time employees a competitive benefits package which is a significant part of their total compensation.
